We have an opening for a Business Analyst reporting to the Director of Business Transformation. This person will be based in our Monroe, NC facility. The successful candidate must reside within a commutable distance to Monroe.
Position Overview
The Business Analyst (BA) exists to provide leadership and experience in aiding the Business Transformation efforts. The role plays the liaison between the various Business Process Owners (BPO) and Subject Matter Experts (SME) and the various service providers both internally and externally to deliver process improvements. The BA is expected to distill what the requirements are of the business and design and implement these improvements on behalf of senior management throughout the organization. These process improvements are realized utilizing various methods including the implementation or enhancements of applications utilized throughout the organization. The BA is responsible for providing leadership and expertise in Change Management to aid the organization in adopting and executing the change imposed by these improvements.
Primary Responsibilities
Assess the requests from the business to determine the scope and rough order of magnitude of each proposed process improvement
Analyze the requirements distilled from the business to determine the detailed expectations for what the process improvement must accomplish
Design the improvements to drive out inefficiencies and provide great controls to then present these designs to the business for approval of future state processes
Build the enhanced processes coordinating with both internal and external service providers to deliver the future state processes
Confirm the future state process is functioning as designed by coordinating and leading the User Acceptance Testing activities with the BPOs and SMEs
Validate the enhanced processes work in concert with other affected process areas by coordinating End to End testing activities with the business
Deliver the new processes by aiding with data migration, train the trainer and go live activities to cut over to the new processes
Hyper care period to support and confirm the newly implemented process improvements are working as designed and aid in user adoption of the new processes
Tier 2 support for issues reported by the business to determine the root cause and provide resolution
Obtain personal knowledge of the various tools and applications used throughout the organization to understand their functionality and potential future benefits
Have well versed knowledge in the various low code/no code solutions employed by the organization and provide tutoring and training to other team members in order to maximize their use instead of creating customizations
Qualifications
Strong organization and time management skills
The individual needs to possess strong communication skills and ability to chair meetings in order to drive business transformation
activities
Solid Microsoft Office 365 knowledge including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, SharePoint, etc.
Strong experience with the Microsoft Business Applications stack including Dynamics, PowerPlatform, Azure and related tools.
Three to five years of practical business process experience understanding how organizations operate and how to provide improvements
A bachelor's degree is preferred with ideally a focus in business management or information systems
Physical Requirements
Requires long periods of sedentary work.
Requires repetitive upper movement-keyboarding and monitor use.
May require overnight travel.
